Morcant Vale is a brilliant yet dangerously ambitious Vapor Alchemist who believes mist and steam carry memories of the worlds they have touched.

From childhood, he combined chemistry, Aether-tech, and experimental machinery to create storm engines, vapor chambers, and unnatural fogs.

At the Brassminster Institute, Morcant discovered Wayward Vapor—enchanted mist formed where separate realms brush against one another.

His greatest experiment opened a doorway for three and one-half seconds, revealing a dark forest beneath a violet sky.

Those few seconds changed his life.

After a reckless experiment ended his work at Brassminster, Morcant traveled Gearinthia collecting rare vapors and studying places swallowed by mist.

His discoveries earned him a seat on the Gilded Council of S.T.E.A.M., where he helped create the Vaporgate, convinced the barriers between worlds could be opened.

Some call him a visionary. Others call him dangerous.
