Please, let me introduce myself…..I am the eccentric, Professor Thaddeus Cogglepotts—a storyteller, articifer, inventor, curator of curiosities, and most importantly the Professor of IMAGINATION. From the heart of Whimbrassel, a city where steam and imagination intertwine, I tinker with brass gears, glowing crystals, and time-bending contraptions inside my wondrous Curiositorium museum.

But my inventions aren’t just machines, they’re gateways of imagination, adventure and stories untold. Each cog, pipe, and prism carries a story—ready to whisk young adventurers (and the young at heart) into worlds where courage and curiosity shine brighter than clockwork lanterns.

So, to understand where I come from, you will learn that Professor Cogglepotts is a character created from pure imagination—a spark of whimsy, brass, and wonder. What began as a love for the Steampunk genre grew into my character and soon became a persona I stepped into—not only for storytelling, but for inspiring children to see the extraordinary hidden in the ordinary. The true secret behind the brass doors is this — I am not merely a tale, but a real person who has brought all this wonder into being; a dreamer who built every spark of this curious world you’re about to step into.

When I wrote my first children’s storybook, inspired by my beloved granddaughter Madilynn, I gave life to Professor Cogglepotts as a guiding character. He was never meant to simply tinker or chase adventures. His purpose was to lead young readers on journeys of discovery, curiosity, and learning. With his inventions, riddles, and sense of wonder, he became a bridge between playful stories and meaningful lessons.

I know that every child is born with imagination in their hearts, and that imagination is powerful. It gives children the ability to create, to invent, and to dream up worlds of beauty and possibility. Imagination is more than play—it is the workshop of character, where courage, creativity, and resilience are built into the person they will become.

As we grow older, the noise of the world often drowns out that wonder, leaving behind gears that once turned so freely in childhood. Yet through my tales of Professor Cogglepotts, that spark can be rekindled—reminding us that imagination never truly vanishes, it only waits to be awakened.

Through my storytelling and the persona of Professor Cogglepotts, I want every child to know that their spark is real, valuable, and waiting to be used. The Professor is more than a character—he is an invitation: to adventure, to learning, and to believe in the Gears of Imagination that turn inside us all.
